Brest ... The other names of this city are Berestye, Brest-Litovsk, Brest-nad-Bugom. It is the third oldest city in Belarus, mentioned by the Kiev chronicler in 1019. The choice of the name of the city was presumably influenced by a tree called “berest”.

2. KOBRIN — WATERSHED — LYAKHOVICHI
In 1795, the estate “Kobrinski kluch” was presented to Alexander Suvorov. He should have owned Kobrin Castle as well. However, by that time this castle was very dilapidated and it was impossible to live there. On July 15, 1812, in the ruins of the Kobrin Castle, the detachment of General Klengel, who came here with the army of Napoleon, resisted. On this day in Kobrin, the first victory over Napoleon’s troops within the Russian state was won.

3. DUBOE — MOTOL — DOSTOEVO — PINSK
Early in the morning, the ship arrives at the Duboe hydrosystem.
The reconstruction of the hydrosystem, which ended in 2006, turned this structure into a modern element of transport communications.
The Pina River at this point became part of the Dnieper-Bug waterway, which includes the famous “Royal Canal”, built in 1775-1783.
The water drop in the area of the hydrosystem can reach 3.5 meters, which created favorable water and energy conditions for placing a small hydroelectric power station here. The small hydroelectric station is located on the site of the old lock. The dam connects the banks with the building, where three low-pressure hydropower plants are installed. Large windows allow the viewer to understand the process of generating electricity.
From 6:00 to 7:30 a bath on the riverside with the possibility of swimming awaits everyone.

The first president of Israel Haim Weizman was born and raised in Motol. People appeared in the vicinity of Motol in the Stone Age, and the first mention of the village dates back to 1422. Motol has always been famous for its talents. There are a lot of weavers, tailors, woodcarvers. Motol shrouds (sheepskin coats) and towels are known not only in the republic, but also abroad. The citizens of Motol saved their original culture. To preserve such wealth, a folk art museum is opened here with a rich collection of material and spiritual culture of Western Polesye.

In Belarusian Polesye the history of the family of the greatest writer of the 19th century Fyodor Dostoevsky began. In 1506, the boyar Danila Rtishchev received a letter of honor from the Pinsk duke on the land and built an estate in the village of Dostoevo between the Pina and Yaselda rivers. Turov is the most ancient city on the territory where representatives of the East Slavic tribe of Dregovichi settled many centuries ago.
In the X century, the Principality of Turov arose here.

Unique ruins of the ancient temple are witnesses and participants of bright historical events. In the center of the city the Cathedral of Saints Cyril, Lawrence and Martin of Turov stands. 6. DOROSHEVICHI — NOVOSELKI

In the South of Belarus, in the center of the vast Polesye lowland, there is an interesting geographical area — the Pripyat Polesye, which stretches on both sides of the Pripyat river in its middle current. This area is characterized by good preservation of natural complexes. Pripyatsky Nature Reserve is a unique combination of natural, cultural and historical heritage, such as unique and typical natural landscapes, the so-called Belarusian “Amazon” in the center of Europe.

7. NAROVLYA — PRIPYATSKY NATURE RESERVE — PRIPYAT RIVER VALLEY — MOZYR
In the morning, the ship arrives in Narovlya — the lowest point along the Pripyat river, accessible to cruise shipping in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
This region was settled by Slavic tribes in the IX century. In the XI century this territory became a part of the Principality of Kiev, and after 3.5 centuries it became a part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, then of Poland. In 1793, after the second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, this region became a part of Russia.
Settlements in the area grew and developed.
In 1967, Narovlya received the status of a city.
The Chernobyl disaster on April 26, 1986 dramatically changed the life and development of the area. Narovlya was in the exclusion zone.
On May 2, 1986, the resettlement of residents of the settlements affected by the Chernobyl accident began.
Village councils were liquidated, 35 settlements disappeared from the map of the district.
10336 inhabitants were resettled.
