Full cruise description

1.  BREST

Brest ... The other names of this city are Berestye, Brest-Litovsk, Brest-nad-Bugom. It is the third oldest city in Belarus, mentioned by the Kiev chronicler in 1019. The choice of the name of the city was presumably influenced by a tree called “berest”.
Boarding the ship at 14:00 (Brest, Shlyuzovaya St., Ice Arena district, Trishin hydrosystem).
For those arriving earlier, there is a luggage room, a waiting room and a toilet in the Guest Room at the Trishin Hotel.

2.  BREST – BELAWEZHA FOREST NATIONAL PARK - WATERSHED - LYAKHOVICHI

After breakfast - excursion to Belawezha Forest National Park.
Belawezha Forest is the last natural habitat of the largest representative of the European fauna - the Bison!
Return to the ship.
Lunch. Departure of the ship.
The ship follows the Dnieper-Bug Canal.
The Dnieper-Bug Canal is a navigable canal on the territory of Belarusian Polesye, built from 1775 to 1873.
Rest on board the ship.
The ship passes through the Watershed.
The main European watershed is the line dividing the basins of European rivers, some of which flow into the Atlantic Ocean and the North Atlantic Seas, others - into the Mediterranean Sea as well as into the Caspian Sea. At the site of the watershed on the Dnieper-Bug Canal, a memorial sign is installed.
At approximately 23:00 the ship arrives in Lyakhovichi.

3.  LYAKHOVICHI - DUBOE

A morning bath on the riverside. Breakfast. Eco-trail walk. Relaxing on the riverside.
Departure of the ship. Lunch on board. Sightseeing from the ship.
In the evening the ship arrives in Duboe.

4. DUBOE - MOTOL - DOSTOEVO - PINSK

After breakfast – a bus tour to Motol and Dostoevo.
The first president of Israel Haim Weizman was born and raised in Motol. People appeared in the vicinity of Motol in the Stone Age, and the first mention of the village dates back to 1422. Motol has always been famous for its talents. There are a lot of weavers, tailors, woodcarvers. Motol shrouds (sheepskin coats) and towels are known not only in the republic, but also abroad. The citizens of Motol saved their original culture. To preserve such wealth, a folk art museum is opened here with a rich collection of material and spiritual culture of Western Polesye.

In Belarusian Polesye the history of the family of the greatest writer of the 19th century Fyodor Dostoevsky began. In 1506, the boyar Danila Rtishchev received a letter of honor from the Pinsk duke on the land and built an estate in the village of Dostoevo between the Pina and Yaselda rivers. The first son of the owner had the double surname Rtishchev-Dostoevsky, and subsequent generations became Dostoevsky.

Ancient Pinsk is the third largest city in the Brest region with a population of over 130 thousand people. It is the true capital of Polesye.
Glory, wealth, rapid growth and importance - all this was forever predetermined by the location of Pinsk in the junction of waterways that passed along Pina, Pripyat and Yaselda, connecting the East and the West, the Black Sea and the Baltic.

5. STAKHOVO - DAVID-GORODOK - TUROV

Early in the morning, the ship arrives in Stakhovo. This is the last point of the regulated water level site on the Dnieper-Bug waterway. In the event of a sharp drop in water level, shipping on a further section is suspended until the shipping level is restored.
This day is dedicated to a visit to Turov.
Turov is the most ancient city on the territory where representatives of the East Slavic tribe of Dregovichi settled many centuries ago.
In the X century, the Principality of Turov arose here.

Full-day bus tour to Turov (transfer by bus 90 km).
Stop in David-Gorodok that is famous for St. George's Church, built in 1724-1726.
"Turov through the Millennium" walking tour. The program includes a visit to the historical part of the city - the medieval Turov settlement. Unique ruins of the ancient temple are witnesses and participants of bright historical events.  In the center of the city the Cathedral of Saints Cyril, Lawrence and Martin of Turov stands. You will see the famous Turov cross on the Cathedral square. According to a legend, it sailed against the current on the river in Turov. Also you will visit the cathedral.
Lunch in the city’s café.
Visit to the "growing" miraculous stone crosses. According to a legend they heal from ailments. The crosses are located on the site of the ancient Borisoglebsky monastery - another mystery of the Turov land.
Excursion to the Turov dairy plant - an ultramodern enterprise producing famous Italian cheeses - mozzarella, mozzarella-pizza, provola, provoleta, mascarpone. You will become familiar with the technology of cheese production. Visit to the company store.
In addition, the city is famous for the production of "Turov canning plant", which is engaged in the processing and preservation of green peas, sugar corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, fruits. The plant produces canned vegetables, sauces, ketchup, snacks, juices and nectars, caviar, jam. It is recommended to purchase these products in your free time.

6. KACHANOVICHI - PINSK

Arrival in Kachanovichi.

The owner of the apiary in Kachanovichi Nikolai Kachanovsky will prove to everyone that each corner of Polesye is truly unique.
During the visit to the apiary, guests will see the centenary oak bee-trees, where bees still live, as well as ancient objects that were used in everyday life .
The owner of the apiary treats with honey and special herbal tea, and the honey and souvenirs made by the beekeeper can be purchased.
A visit to the gentry Kachanovsky apiary, where preserved features of archaic Polesye will not leave anyone indifferent!

7.  KOBRIN

Breakfast on board.
Arrival in Kobrin at 11:00. 
In 1795, the estate "Kobrinski kluch" was presented to Alexander Suvorov. He should have owned Kobrin Castle as well. However, by that time this castle was very dilapidated and it was impossible to live there. On July 15, 1812, in the ruins of the Kobrin Castle, the detachment of General Klengel, who came here with the army of Napoleon, resisted. On this day in Kobrin, the first victory over Napoleon's troops within the Russian state was won.

A transfer to the railway station at the end of the tour (at approximately 12:00).
